The 'near' future...

Firstly, I would like to thank each and every one of my followers and supporters of my work. I never thought when I started this that it would end up with so many lovely followers and friends.

For those of you that have been following my journey for awhile now know that I have 4 gorgeous daughters and also work 3 days a week as a Manager at Bunnings. I chose not to give up my customer interactions at Bunnings when I started Lily Chic Events and still love every day that I go to work there. However, with this in mind plus two added factors; Shoppe with Lily and recently purchasing a 5 acre property, I have had to re-purpose my time so I do not burn out, so to speak.

From July the 1st 2012 to September 1st 2012, Shoppe with Lily will be CLOSED. This decision was made easily for me. It allows me to spend this time moving into our new property, but also attend the Trade Fair in Melbourne in August, so the new stock will be in once we re-open our virtual doors in September. This will also allow me some time to do the things I always put off...like tax time and stocktake.

Lily Chic Events will also be taking a small but very needed rest. I will be still completing all jobs booked, however there may only be one a month or two, instead of the craziness that was the last 12 months. I will be taking bookings for 2013, and have a couple of Weddings already booked that I am really looking forward to styling. I am in the midst of completing the Preston Bailey Wedding Design Institute Course, so these Weddings will allow me to put what I have learnt into action.

I will also be paying forward with those charities that are very important to me and my next 'project' will be in November where I will be giving away a fully styled event to a child that has been in hospital for the most part of their new lives. If you would like to come on board with this project, please feel free to email me for more information.

So, for now, I hope you support Lily Chic Events and me in the next chapter. I am NOT closing for good, and in fact hope to expand the business in the future with a part time helper {I am emailed almost weekly on work experience}, and possibly some news on a permanent collaboration with some amazing businesses in Melbourne! {Sshh..this is a secret}.

In the mean time..keep an eye out for our Hungry Caterpillar Themed Party which will be featured on a blog that I am very excited about and have not been featured on before. This should be out in the next week or so. I have also been involved in an exciting 'Design Challenge' that will be announced shortly and you will see a very different style to Lily Chic Events in this one.

Again, thanks for your support and please feel free to email me for 2013 Bookings.

I'm so glad you are being very 'sensible' and taking this time out. Althought you will still be so very busy! I think your work is amazing and every new project is another step along the styling path. I am always amazed at how such busy women like yourself manage to juggle all you do!
I hope this time is all you hoped for and have a wonderful time at the Trade Fair!
Our family has been dealt a bit of a blow recently but we are dealing with the best we can. I was most saddened that it meant I could not create a beautiful birthday party for Isabella this year.
Perhaps you'd like to read and catch up with us at my blog which I know you have read before...
