The TomKat Studio & Australian Party Designers Challenge

 WOW!

I am so excited to let you all in on a little secret that 8 Aussie Stylists have been keeping for a VERY long time!

Lily Chic Events, The Little Big Company, Just Call me Martha, My Little Jedi, Sweet Style, Styled by Belle, Mon Tresor and Leo & Bella have been creating gorgeous parties for our first ever Australian Party Designer Challenge!

The rules were simple...create a Party using Printables from The TomKat Studio!

We all chose our themes and came up with some amazing Parties!!

And the best bit...you get to choose your favourite! {That would be my nightmare as I LOVE all the parties!}

So without further ado...here is my TomKat inspired Party using the Blue Giraffe Printable!

 It was my eldest daughter Mikayla's 12th Birthday and so I chose the Baby Blue Giraffe Printables because Mikayla's favourite colour is blue and her favourite animal is the Giraffe. She got her first Giraffe when she was a baby and named him Jerry. You will see Jerry today twelve years later, and still a favourite! So we selected all of Mixi's Favourite Things for a sweet and girly theme!

I also chose to use a dresser this time, just to mix it up a bit!

The colours in the Giraffe Printable were a baby blue and a chocolate brown, so I played with those and added the copper, the cobalt blue, the gold and the cream colours.

The sweets were made by Anita from Cake Envy and she did an amazing job with the very unusual brief! When I told Anita I was having a Giraffe Printable but wanted Mixi's favourite things incorporated also, like ballet and cola she designed a two tiered barrel cake with the ruffles in the middle for the ballet skirt and then used the blue bow in the middle to play with the words from the original 'Favourite Things' song, 'Blue Satin Sashes', and then placed the gold 'Coke Bubbles' on top!

Phew...amazing!!!

Anita then created a Mini Layered Custard Slice, Mint Cheesecakes in Shot Glasses, Cupcakes with the 'Bubble' design on the top, Mini Chocolate cups, Ballet Cookies, and the most AMAZING Copper Cake pops that we all adored!

 The Mint flavoured Macarons were by Sonya at Macaroon Moments and they were delicious! She sprinkled them with edible gold dust and looked amazing!

 My gorgeous husband is a VERY clever writer {amongst other talents}, and he came up with an alternative to the 'Favourite Things' Song which was all of Mikayla's Favourite Things! The lovely Emma from Emma Smith {Event Stationary} popped it all together for us on a poster sized pdf and was wonderful!

 As well as the baked treats, I had sixlets from Sweet Style, Bon Bons, Ribbon Candy from Lou Lou Events, and some gorgeous Chocolate Pops with a swirl design that looked like bubbles and some Chocolate Dipped Pretzel sticks from Popular Treats!

 The main table has Jerry as the cutest Centrepiece! I used Orange Tulips with sweet smelling freesia's on the table and they were placed in mason jars that I painted with a gorgeous Copper Paint!

 A special mention to the AMAZING Amanda from Poppy & Rose who created the most adorable Pale Blue Tutu design for the Party! This sat on the baby doll mannequin for Mixi's love of Ballet and it was perfect!

All of the above photo's were taken by the brilliant Liat from Lee Bird Photography! Liat captures the moment perfectly. All of the pictures were taken inside on a grey and rainy day and I think she did an amazing job to get the colours just right!
